A New Journey
“For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.”
As we begin a new journey here at our church, with Joseph and Cheyenne joining our staff, I know God is going to continue to bless our church and provide every need. He has been preparing our church for their arrival for over a year now with the additions of young families with children and youth. In September he sent Jeramie and Erin to our family and they have been doing an amazing job, and God will continue to use them with our youth and with our Praise Team. But when you begin a journey there must be a starting point. A new journey in life is often the beginning of new and exciting adventures. It may include traveling to other places, and it is an opportunity for a fresh start. Journeys usually require planning, and it begins with the first step – sometimes not a physical step but a step of faith that occurs when we overcome what may be stopping us from fulfilling our destiny. Our first step was praying and stepping out in faith. This is important not only for the church but for all of us. God has a plan for all of us and like many of us it can be terrifying. Anytime we try something new or begin a new journey we must have faith. That’s why I love this verse, He will command His angels to guard you in “ALL” your ways. When God calls you, He will provide and protect you on that journey, but we must be ready to step out when the time is right. The only way we can know the timing is right is to be in tune with Him. That way we will be able to hear His voice and not ours. In this new journey he has us on, ask yourself “Lord what would You have me do?” In other words, pray and ask God to lead you and use you in this journey with us. God is on the move “In the Orchard”. Let’s reach this community together.
